WWC-ID
A 9-character code (3-3-3) for every location on Earth, referring to the centre of a 1 m² square. Works online and offline without GPS — clear, pronounceable and easy to use for 8.3 billion people.

How it works online

• 👆 Tap the map → The code appears
• 🔤 Enter a code → The location appears
• 🔤 Open in Organic Maps → The location appears
• 🔎 Search for an address → The code appears
• 🧭 Enter coordinates → (for example from Organic Maps) → The location appears

How it works offline

Download the required map areas in advance while you have an internet connection.
• 👆 Tap the map → The code appears
• 🔤 Enter a code → The location does not appear
• 🔤 Open in Organic Maps → The location appears
• 🔎 Search for the address in Organic Maps → The location and coordinates appear (for example 12.12234 34.5677)
• 🧭 Enter the coordinates in the WWC-ID search field → The WWC-ID appears

WWC-ID: The 9-character code (3-3-3)

• 🌐 1–3= world region
• 🗺️ 4= country field
• 🎯 5–9= exact location (about 1 m²)

🌍 Install the WWC app

1. Open the website containing the WWC app
2. Open the menu at the top or bottom (⋮ or ☰)
3. Select “Add to Home screen/device”
4. The app will then start like a normal app — also offline
